I'm presenting a photo-synopsis of Sarah and Ramzi's trip to Palestine.
Once we arrived, we participated in a program arranged by Faculty for Israeli-Palestinian Peace (ffipp).
Hanna, our fearless group coordinator, led us, several professors and students, across Palestine and Israel.
The photos listed below are those of Ehab, Ramzi, Sahar, and Sarah.
We are four of the students who toured Occupied Palestine and Israel.

Day one

After reaching Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, Sarah and I were detained for a few hours before we could pass through. We already had not slept for a couple of days, so this was a bit of a bummer. Once we got out of the airport, we took a shuttle to Jerusalem where ffipp had arranged our first night's stay at a hotel (actually, we did not reach the hotel until the morning!)

This hotel is incredible. I believe that it used to be a convent. It's right across from the old city of East Jerusalem. We spent the first day in Jerusalem and saw a number of settlements in the area.

Day two

Qalandia

Sarah took some photos of the wall and some people

We learned rather quickly that Palestinians are generally not camera shy.

I got one of the checkpoint. You can see a settlement in the upper right hand corner
